Phishing sites mimic Exodus exactly. Once installed, never accept wallet files or seed phrases offered to you online — these are invariably scams.
On first launch, click "Create New Wallet." You'll be prompted to set a password that encrypts your wallet locally. Use at least 16 characters — unique, not used anywhere else. Exodus does not store this password. If lost, the wallet cannot be decrypted by anyone. Store it in a dedicated password manager and create a physical backup stored separately from your device.
